Tiwa Savage, Samklef, others react as ‘Shizzi’ calls out music executive ‘Efe’

Nigerian producer and songwriter Oluwaseyi Akerele, professionally known as ‘Shizzi’ shared a series of Instastory posts, revealing some information about his deal with music executive ‘Efe’.

The calling out started with a regular post On April 26, 2022, where he revealed in detail he was deceived by Efe, with the help of Efe’s Lawyer friend, into signing an archaic contract.

He also added he was never allowed the right to his own attorney and he has been trying to leave SONY for a while, but Efe has made that impossible.

Shizzi’s post reads “Efe is the epitome of a heartless human being! I’ve been stuck in the worst sonymusicpub deal for 6 years because of him! You will NEVER STOP WHAT GOD HAS ORDAINED FOR ME!

“You have done absolutely NOTHING for my career but try and take everything away from me and my family!

“I unknowingly got signed to an archaic MDRC deal because of this man.

“He never gave us the right to choose an attorney to thoroughly inspect the contract in 2016 because his friend/partner in crime was the attorney that we were FORCED to work with on the deal and now he doesn’t want to let me free!

“As of late last year, SonyATV said they were going to let me go only if he agrees with terms of termination.

“Enough is enough! I will drag your name to the mud with the TRUTH! You can’t get away with this!”

He echoed the same statement in one of his Instagram story posts, where he also explained the experience is enough to discourage a dreamer and cause depression.

The producer also stated Efe “had him in the worst publishing deal for 6 years and won’t let him go for reasons no one understands”

He also added he intends to drag the music execs name in the mud till he is free.

Reactions

A lot of people reacted to the producer’s post in the comments, expressing their displeasure over the situation, and some even hinting at going through the same ordeal.

The comments include responses from Tiwa Savage, record producer Kddo, Sam Klef.

Manchester-based musician band “KTNA” responded with an Instagram story post, explaining they’re happy Efe is being exposed, but they revealed they warned Shizzi against working with Efe.

The group revealed “they were stuck in a bad deal in ATL because Efe manipulates young people like chess pieces”

They also stated they had to endure some type of abuse whilst being managed by Efe.

Kddo, a record producer with real name ‘Ayoola Oladapo Agboola’ was cryptic with his Instastory response.

He reportedly had the same problem, being stuck in a bad deal, thanks to Efe.

His response reads “Bored ape dey work baboon Dey chop”.
