Cardi B under fire from fans for missing Grammys, deletes Twitter account

American rapper, singer-songwriter Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus, stage name Cardi B, has been pushed by upset fans to delete her twitter account. 

Cardi B got a Grammy nomination at the 64th annual Grammy Awards for Best Rap Performance, thanks to her song ‘Up’.

The Up crooner received a lot of negative comments from twitter users who are apparently her fans, because she did not show up at the Grammys. 

They tweets were upsetting enough to push her to let’s her account. She however stated why she will be deleting her account, not before she pushed back at some negative tweets. 

But before she deleted the account, she explained she did not attend the Grammy awards because she got just 1 nomination and no new song for the year. 

Her now deleted tweet reads “I’m deleting my twitter but on God I hate this fucking dumbass fan base. 

You got the slow dumbass dragging my kids all cause y’all though I was going to the Grammys and I didn’t the fuck?

When the fuck I hinted I was going? Just fvcking I can’t I need to protect myself”

looking up the rapper’s account brings up an error message, showing that her account has been deleted.
