1. In Zaria, Terrorist Invade housing estate, abduct residents [NewsWireNGR]

Terrorists have attacked a low-cost housing estate at Kofar Gayan in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State and kidnapped six people including a Customs officer and his son.

The police authorities are yet to confirm the incident but a resident of the area told newsmen that the terrorists invaded the estate at about 8 pm on Wednesday and started shooting sporadically. Read more.

2. Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack: ‘Be ready to pay’ — Bandits tell kidnapped victims’ family [NewsWireNGR]

Terrorists who attacked Abuja-Kaduna train have established contact with family of victims they kidnapped.

About 8 passengers lost their lives in the attack on the train carrying 362 passengers.

Some kidnapped victims’ families members, who spoke to DAILY POST on Thursday, said they received phone calls on Wednesday evening, telling them not to panic over the disappearance of their loved ones, assuring them of their safety, but that they should be ready for their calls for ransom. 3. Abuja traditional ruler kidnapped from Palace [NewsWireNGR]

Kidnappers on Wednesday night invaded Bukpe community in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), abducting the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Hassan Shamidozhi in the process.

A sibling to the abducted traditional ruler, who is the Chief Imam of the Community’s Central Mosque, Malam Jibrin D. Gimba, confirmed the incident when he said the incident happened around 9:32 pm on Wednesday. Read more.

4. One feared killed as arsonists attack Anambra LG secretariat  [NewsWireNGR]

At least one person was feared killed when arsonists attacked Nnewi South Local Government Area Secretariat of Anambra at Ukpor on Thursday.

The arsonists were said to have numbered more than 50.

Igwe Nwosu Onyimadu, and Mr Emmanuel Nwachukwu, the traditional ruler and President-General of Ukpor community, respectively confirmed the incident. Read more.

5. Nigeria Vs Ghana: Disappointed Senate to probe why Super Eagles lost [NewsWireNGR]

The Nigerian Senate has disclosed it will probe the reason why the nation’s men senior national team, Super Eagles lost the World Cup Qualifier match to the Black Stars of Ghana.

This was stated by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Sports and Your Development, Senator Obinna Ogba, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi Central.

Noting his disappointment at the Super Eagles performance, Ogba said; “It is unfortunate. We want to carry out a holistic investigation to what exactly happened. I need to look into the details of what happened. You don’t expect me to start apportioning blames like others. Read more.
