OAU announces March 14 for matriculation of freshers

The authorities of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, have concluded arrangements to hold the 2021/2022 Matriculation Ceremony on Monday, 14 March 2022, between 2pm and 6pm.

This is contained in a release by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju, on Wednesday.

Olarewaju stated that all matriculating students are hereby advised to get in touch with the secretaries of their respective faculties for the collection of academic gowns and the details of other formalities.

“We congratulate all new students, wishing them outstanding success in their academic pursuit,” he said.

NewsWireNGR had earlier reported the institution postponed the 2021/2022 matriculation ceremony earlier scheduled for March 9 until further notice.

A statement by Mr Murtala Agbaje, Director, Academic Affairs of the university, on Monday, in Ile-Ife, announcing the cancellation, said a new date would be communicated to the general public, especially to those concerned in due course.

“The University’s authorities have decided to postpone the matriculation ceremony in the interest of all,” the previous statement read in part.
