Tomi Adeyemi to co-produce ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ with Paramount Pictures

Nigerian-American author is set to co-produce with Paramount Pictures as they have acquired rights to the best selling young adult trilogy, Children of Blood and Bone from the Legacy of Orïsha series.

After a bidding war that involved other big players in the industry, Paramount Pictures has landed the television rights.

Tomi Adeyemi will reportedly write and adopt the script and will also be the executive producer while working with Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill Entertainment and Karen Rosenfelt of Sunswept Entertainment producing to bring the adaptation to the big-screen.

From the trilogy, Children of Blood and Bone, and Children of Virtue and Vengeance are published by Henry Holt Books for Young Readers.

It is rumored that the last of the trilogy will be published in 2023.

Children of Blood and Bone won Audie Award’s Audiobook of the Year in 2019, and in 2018 it won the Goodreads Choice Awards for Best Debut Goodreads Author.
