Popular Nigerian comedian, Mr Macaroni, who is known for addressing females in his comedy skits as “Freaky Freaky” on Wednesday took to his Twitter page today to recount the kindness he experienced from popular Nigerian Musician, Davido’s Father, Dr Deji Adeleke.

He wrote “If you think Davido is a great giver or is easily accessible, then you need to meet his dad; Dr Deji Adeleke. Dr Adeleke is one of my greatest inspirations. Since the days of SDA Magodo, I learnt the art of giving and helping others from him”.

He also explained, when he got in to university, Dr Adeleke provided financial assistance whenever he (Mr Macaroni) needed it.

“When I first got admission into Uni, Dr Deji Adeleke bought me my first Laptop ever. For every time I needed money in school, all it took was for me to send a text message. I abused the access, but he remained kind and generous. God bless you Chairman. Thank you for everything.”

“This is why I rarely get upset when it comes to these matters. Through Chairman, I learnt simplicity, humility and above all Love. This and other reasons is why the love in my heart will forever be greater than the hate in the world. Love always,” he wrote.

Davido last year while speaking in an interview with an American-based podcast, Earn Your Leisure, said he never knew his dad was rich until he was 13 years old.

According to the singer popularly known as OBO (Omo Baba Olowowhich loosely translates as son of a rich man), his father “lived so normal”.

“I didn’t know he was rich till I was 13 because he lived so normal. I didn’t even know he was a billionaire driving a Honda”.

Davido had also announced the donation of N250 million to orphanages across the country.

The award according to him as received 1,234 applications so far.

“1234 responded; 852 without orphanage names; 382 with orphanage names,” he claimed.
