Davido N250m donation to orphanages receives 1234 applications
Nigerian artiste and multiple award winner, David Adeleke, stage name Davido has disclosed that 1,234 applications have been received so far for his N250m donations for orphanages.
In a post on his social media page on Saturday, the singer said; “Verification is ongoing, and the report will be out by 15th December. Selection and disbursement 18th/19th and the press release should by 20th Dec.
“1234 responded; 852 without orphanage names; 382 with orphanage names.

“The national association of orphanages in Nigeria sent the list of orphanage homes within their coverage, which to some extent, is helping us in the verification process. God bless. We rise by lifting others.” (sic)
Davido had in celebration of his birthday asked fans and colleagues, “If u know I’ve given you a hit song .. send me money …. una know una selves oo”.
He received “about NGN200,000,000 in less than two days” and promised to add N50 million to the donations and give it all to orphanages across the nation.
Davido “established a five-person Disbursement Committee”.
