Davido buys Zlatan’s ‘merch’ shirt for N2.7m
Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, stage name: Davido, has bought a merch shirt with a face drawing of Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, ak.a Zlatan Ibile for £5,000 (N2,719,733).
In a viral video, Davido was heard saying; “I don’t know how much this shirt costs but we don’t buy anything for the same price. I’m the first one to do it, I’m buying this shirt for five thousand pounds.”
Davido in celebration of his birthday earlier in the month had asked fans and colleagues, “If u know I’ve given you a hit song .. send me money …. una know una selves oo”.
He got a total donation of N200 million and added N50 million to donate it all to orphanages across the country.
Giving an update on the donation, Davido had posted; “Verification is ongoing, and the report will be out by 15th December. Selection and disbursement 18th/19th and the press release should by 20th Dec.”
In remembrance of his close friend and crew member, who is now late, Obama DMW, Davido had earlier in the month showcased a tattoo in his arm.
