Davido gets a tattoo in Honour of Late Friend, Obama DMW months after his demise

Nigerian singer, Davido has got a tattoo and the code name of his close friend and crew member, who is now late, Obama DMW in his arm. Obama DMW, born Habeeb Uthman, was a close friend and road manager to Davido until his demise earlier in the year.

Davido is not over the devastating demise of his friend as he had only a few days ago posted an image of him and wrote he missed him then followed today’s action.

A few hours ago, he shared an image of his arm shortly after he decided to get a tattoo of Obama’s nickname, 44 on the arm, One of Obama’s nicknames was 44 and Davido had it written, with birds flying over the number. The body art was also accompanied by a slang “O fe rege”.

In June, Obama had driven himself to Ever Care Hospital in Lekki, Lagos to complain of breathing difficulties – He was admitted at the hospital and unfortunately died hours later.

Born and raised in Lagos, Obama DMW, earned a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Lagos State University before heading to Canada.

On his return, he co-founded a recorded label, Holla At Your Boy, with his friend. The label, however, folded up after the death of his partner.

He later founded another record label, Obama Music Worldwide(OMW). In 2020, he signed upcoming singer, Ayanfe to his record label. Ayanfe found little buzz with the singles ‘Focus’ and ‘Ori Mi’.
