“I love Wizkid and that’s not going to change” — Singer Tems breaks silence

Nigerian Singer, Temilade Openiyi, Tems, finally breaks silence on what transpired between herself and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun also known as Wizkid on stage at the O2 Arena in London where the singer was seen pulling herself away from Wizkid.

In case you missed it, the two Nigerian singers, ‘Wizkid’ and Temilade ‘Tems’ Openiyi, got the crowd buzzing as they both performed their hit song, ‘Essence’ until Wizkid tried to grab her, in what seemed uncomfortable, she forcefully pulled herself from him.

Tems in 2021, earned two US top 40 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, with her collaboration with Drake on the song “Fountains” from his album Certified Lover Boy addressed an audience saying she loves Wizkid, he is human and she is human and noting is going to change while the crowd cheer her.

She said, “I want to say something,” while performing – “All I am going to say is, Wiz is my brother, someone I look up to, and I am grateful for everything that he’s done and his existence and I want you guys to remember that he’s human and I am human and nothing is going to change”.

The video had elicited reactions on the internet with some fans demanding an apology from Wizkid to not only Tems but their audience.

Wizkid had pulled an international show, selling out tickets in minutes and put together a star-studded line up for the three nights concert something only the big leagues are able to pull. on Sunday, he surprised fans by bringing out another American star, Chris Brown, to perform in the UK for the first time in a decade.

Fans also breached security at the O2 Arena on Sunday night, as videos posted to social media showed a stream of people dodging security barriers and charging their way in to watch him perform.
