The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has claimed that 5G mobile technology when deployed in Nigeria will reduce the cost of running businesses in the country.
This was stated by the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Prof Umar Danbatta, at a public lecture titled “5G Mobile Technology: Myths, Realities, Potentials and Challenges” organised by Kwara State University (KWASU) Malete, held on Thursday in Ilorin, the state capital.
He also noted the 5G technology has no negative health effect contrary to widespread conspiracy theories.
According to Danbatta, “It has nothing to do with our health. It will reduce overhead cost by 50 per cent”.
