Police on Thursday paraded 14 suspects over the invasion of the residence of Supreme Court Justice, Mary Odili.

The Force Headquarters in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba, described them as impostors unknown to the security forces.

One of the arrested suspects includes a fake Chief Superintendent of Police, (CSP Lawrence Ajojo) who claimed he is a consultant to the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) but clarified “he [Malami] did not send us on the raid on Mrs Odili’s house”.

Mba also noted that “seven suspects still at large include two soldiers”.

The Police however disclosed that the suspects confessed they conspired to raid Justice Odili’s residence following information that she was keeping a large sum of money in foreign currencies.

NewsWireNGR recalls the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Alkali Usman, had during an interview at a two-day capacity building workshop for security operatives in Lagos and Ogun organised by the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Zone Two said that the raiders of the residence of Justice Mary Odili’s residence have been arrested.

He had stated; “To the best of my knowledge, we have been able to arrest the perpetrators and we are investigating the circumstances surrounding the invasion or siege on the judge’s residence”.
