Olusegun Mimiko joins PDP after closed-door meeting with party governors

Dr Olusegun Mimiko, the former governor of Ondo state has joined the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday after a closed-door meeting with four governors of the party.

NewsWireNGR gathered that Mimiko had a closed-door meeting with four serving governors of PDP at his Ondo town country home.

The governors Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state; Nyesome Wike of Rivers state; Seyi Makinde of Oyo state; and Abia state governor, Okezie lkpeazu were the four governors.

Also recall that former Senate president, Bukola Saraki, had earlier in the week hinted that a former governor will be joining the PDP this week.

“We’ve got some bigwigs that are coming to the party. This week, there’s a former governor that’ll join the party. We’ve had a couple who have joined,” Saraki had said.
