CBN’s eNaira Speed Wallet back on Google Play Store, as 1 star dominates rating

The eNaira Speed Wallet app by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is back on the Google Play Store while the lesser than average rating remains.

NewsWireNGR had earlier observed that the recently launched Wallet was removed from the Google Play Store.

A check today (about 24 hours after) revealed it is back on the application download platform. However, there was no update whatsoever done on the app.

Recall NewsWireNGR had noted that the disappearance of the eNaira app on the Google Playstore does not automatically translate the app was removed by Google (although this is possible). However, the developer of the App, the Central Bank of Nigeria, may have unpublish it for fix the bugs causing complaints raised by users.

On the other hand, a lot of developers instead of unpublishing their app usually release an update to fix issues.

But a check of the About this app revealed the app which was launched October 22 was last updated October 25 and still remains version 1.0.0.

The app has only been able to garner an overall 2.3 rating out of the available 5. However, a rating of 1 star dominated the review.

An earlier check by NewsWireNGR revealed most of the frustrated users were having issues with linking their email to the app; a major requirement to be granted access.

On the first day of the launch, representatives of the CBN were noticed to be responding to users complaints in the comment section of the review. Further complaints were however not responded to by the representatives of the Apex bank leaving most using more confused.
