In what appears to be a comeback some weeks ago, the Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) organisers, Nigerian Breweries, announced the return of the TV reality show.
According to the organiser, the TV premiere of ‘Gulder Ultimate Search: The Age of Craftsmanship’ is set for October 16, 2021, and will run till December 19, when the grand finale will hold.
Considering the announcement of the show is with the knowledge of the existence of another reality TV show with lots of fans, Big Brother Naija, NewsWireNGR asked Nigerians which of these two shows they would prefer to watch.
About 69.9 per cent of the respondents claimed they would rather watch Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) rather than watch the BBNaija show.
Another 10.7 per cent claimed BBNaija is their favourite while 19.5 per cent responded they would create time to watch both shows.

We also gathered some reactions beneath the tweet.
A Twitter user, @TonyRuLE6, wants soft drink manufacturers should organise a reality TV show instead. Commenting in pidgin, the user wrote: “How many of una dy drink the gulder to begin with? Gulder ultimate search, Gulder ultimate search. When them dy do am, u dy drink the beer? No be advert for the brand, una support them? Abeg abeg. Make fanta abi chi exotic do ultimate search nah. Abi nah crime?”
Another user, @Jewbelee, claimed; “People would choose GUS because BBN is available now”.
Meanwhile, NewsWireNGR observed the organisers of the two shows seem to have an understanding considering the new display of advert for the GUS on the BBNaija show.
GUS is organised by Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc, while BBNaija is organised by MultiChoice Nigeria.
