President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will be vaccinated in a television broadcast on Saturday.
This was disclosed by the executive-director of National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Faisal Shuaib at a media briefing on Thursday.
He said Mr Buhari and Mr Osinbajo are second in line to receive the vaccine after
health workers that have been involved in treating Nigerians that have been infected by COVID-19 at the treatment centre in the National hospital take their jabs on Friday.
Nigeria received nearly four million doses of the AstraZeneca/Oxford COVID-19 vaccine, shipped via the COVAX Facility, a partnership between CEPI, Gavi, UNICEF and WHO on Tuesday.
