Just in: Federal Government to distribute 20 million COVID-19 vaccines in January

The federal government has announced that it will distribute COVID-19 vaccines by January 2021.

The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire disclosed this at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting on Wednesday.

Ehanire said a technical group in the Ministry of health is working on which vaccine will best suit Nigeria because the country does not have a -80 degrees freezers.

This development is off the heels of an earlier federal government announcement that it was working on receiving 20 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in early 2021.

Nigeria presently has 74,132 recorded cases of COVID-19 with 66,494 recoveries and 1,200 deaths.
