The Lagos State government is set to auction 44 cars seized from offenders who drove against traffic (one-way) in the state.

This was revealed on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, Mr Gboyega Akosile.

“The list below includes the name and registration number of vehicles to be auctioned today. These are vehicles of people who drove against Traffic (ONE WAY) In Lagos state,” Mr Akosile wrote on Twitter

Earlier in November, the Lagos State Government had warned motorists contravening the Lagos State Transport Law (2018) to desist forthwith or face the wrath of the law.

The Chairman of Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, said that the Enforcement Unit and other relevant Agencies of the State Government are determined to enforce the law on recalcitrant motorists who contravene any part of the stipulated traffic rules.
