Breaking: Nigeria’s foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama tests positive for Covid-19

Geoffrey Onyeama, Nigeria’s Minister for Foreign Affairs has tested Positive for Coronavirus.

Onyeama who was appointed Foreign Affairs Minister of Nigeria in November 2015 by PresidentMuhammadu Buhari and reappointed made the announcement through his personal twitter handle.

He wrote, “Did my fourth Covid-19 test yesterday at the first sign of a throat irritation and unfortunately this time it came back positive. That is life! Win some lose some. Heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best. #StayHomeSaveLives #COVID19 #PTFCOVID19“.

Onyeama has been an active member of Nigeria’s National Presidential Task Force on #Covid19, established by President @MBuhari in March 2020.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry led by him has succeeded in evacuating several stranded Nigerians in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
