In Lagos, ‘Many Trapped’ As 3-Storey Building Collapses

A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in the Ilasa area of Lagos state, leaving many, especially workers, trapped.

A witness said the incident occurred around 2pm.

Rescue operation is ongoing at the building located at 2/4, Richard Abimbola, Off Limca Road, Ire Adri Estate.

The Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) is treating some of the victims, while others have been taken to the Ilasa general hospital.

Adesina Tiamiyu, general manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said his men rescued 14 workers.

Tiamiyu said no death had been recorded.
