The bail conditions given by the anti-graft agency requires that Abati drops his International Passport and produce a surety of not below Level 16 in the Civil Service.

On Tuesday evening, EFCC sources say that Mr. Abati received N50 million from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

The sources said Mr. Abati admitted receiving the amount and explained how he spent it.

Mr. Abati reportedly told investigators that he spent the N50 million on media relations that had to do with his work as media adviser for Mr. Jonathan.

But when asked for evidence of how the money was spent, he reportedly said such details were not documented.
