Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun Is Not Competent To Manage Nigeria’s Economy Says Senator Melaye

Nigeria’s Senator, Dino Melaye has called for the sack of Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun, in an interview on Channels Television.

Senator of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Melaye, is insisting on the sacking or voluntary resignation of the economic team of the Nigerian President, saying the current economic hardship does not represent the party’s campaign promises.

He said, “The Minister of Finance, she has appeared before the Senate on two different occasions and from my own personal assesment she does not have the competence”.

The Senator went on to question Mrs Adeosun’s resume as Nigeria’s Finance Minister.

He maintained, during the interview, “She does not have the wherewithal and you begin to ask, how many billion dollars portfolio has she handled or managed before becoming the minister of Finance”.

Senator Melaye continued, “Minister of Finance especially in an economy like Nigeria should have the knowledge of the situation”.

He said the Nigeria’s Finance Minister should be “one who can take us out of the woods, and there is no way you can continue to apply a particular medcine to a particular ailment and you’re not getting solutions and you continue to take that drug becomes injurious to the system.”
