Also, the Minister used the opportunity offered by the meeting to urge estranged party leaders to return to the party with a view to rebuilding the party and putting it on the path of excellence, saying change cannot be realized without peace and harmony.
In his words: “The change we preach is one that respects the rule of law and party internal democracy. I want to assure all that the era of impunity is gone. What we are going through today at the tribunals are avoidable if we had done the needful. That is why all of us must come back together as a family to build a virile APC that is capable of sustaining its success”.
About fifty party leaders across the state atended the meeting such as Commodore Folusho Daniel (rtd), Dr. Adinoyi Ojo Onukaba, Hon. Dare Anjorin and many others.
Among other things, it was resolved at the meeting that efforts will be made to ensure robust engagement through regular meetings.
It was also resolved that a committee be put in place to reconcile the Governor-Elect, Alh. Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Hon. Abiodun Faleke and to make them settle out of court.
