For Recitation Of The Qu’ran & Promote Islamic Teaching, The Bauchi Governor Abubakar Approves N55m

Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State has approved N55m for the 30th edition of the state’s Qur’anic recitation competition.

Speaking at the event being held at katagum, headquarters of Zaki local government Area (LGA) of the State, Governor Abubakar said N38.4 million is for logistics while N16.9 Million is released to the 20 Local government areas of the state to aid their preparations at council level.

According to him, education of the younger generation is the collective responsibilty of the government, Islamic teachers as well as parents.

The Governor expressed the commitment of his adminstration is to improving the education sector of the State, adding that education is his top priority.

He said the state government will provide adequately for education in the 2016 budget to reflect his total commitment.

He thereby enjoined all the partiapants in the competition to put in their best so that Bauchi can be well represented at the National and international competitions.

The Governor urged the judges to be fair and just in carrying out the duties entrusted to them adding that they should conduct the competition in line with the rules and regulations of the contest so as to promote Islamic teachings.
