Filipe Luis Returns To Atletico Madrid

29-year-old Brazilian left-back, Filipe Luis has returned to Atletico Madrid just a season after he left the club. He failed to become Chelsea‘s first choice left-back during the period and has now returned to the club he helped win the La Liga title.

A statement on the Blues’ website reads in part:

Chelsea Football Club has today agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for the permanent transfer of Filipe Luis.

Luis made 26 appearances for Chelsea and was part of the squad that won the Capital one Cup and the premier league trophy last season.
