APC Shielding Fayemi From EFCC Prosecution, PDP Alleges

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has accused the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of alleged moves to prevent the prosecution of a former governor of the state, Dr Kayode Fayemi, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Ekiti PDP, in a statement on Sunday by its publicity secretary, Mr Jackson Adebayo, claimed that it had a seen “sinister motive by the leadership of APC to put presure on the presidency to halt the investigation of the former APC governor by EFCC.”

Adebayo also claimed in the statement that APC leadership allegedly did this “when it dawned on them that the various petitions before EFCC on the financial mismanagement of APC administration in Ekiti State between 2010 and 2014 cannot be ignored again by the anti-graft body in its current moves against past governors.”
