IGP Summons Ekweremadu Over Alleged Forgery Of Senate Rules, PDP Alleged Threat To Life

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has summoned the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, over alleged forgery of the Senate Rules.

The alleged forgery has been a subject of disagreement especially from the Lawan led senators whom the All Progressives Congress (APC), favoured to clinch the senate top job.

The rule is said to have facilitated the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as the Senate President and Ekweremadu as his deputy.
Ekweremadu is expected to appear before a team of investigators at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Monday.

National Publicity Secretary of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, confirmed the invitation at a press briefing in Abuja on Sunday.

The PDP is however alleging that APC senators have resorted to threatening the life of Ekweremadu having failed to get him to resign his position.
