Suspected Boko Haram militants killed at least 97 people who were praying in mosques or cooking at home in a northeastern Nigerian village, witnesses said Thursday.
“The attackers have killed at least 97 people,” a local from Kukawa village, who gave his name as Kolo, told Agency France-Presse, while a fisherman who also witnessed Wednesday’s attack corroborated the figure.
In another onslaught, The terrorists attacked two communities in Monguno in Nigeria’s northeastern Borno State. The attackers where on motorbikes who stormed Musaram 1 and Musaram two from neighbouring Chad.
The assailants also set fire to houses and farms in the area.
