Barring any last minute change in plan, President Muhammadu Buhari will meet the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, later today.
The Punch reports that the meeting is expected to hold by 10pm at the First Lady’s Conference Hall inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
But the President has refused to meet with the President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki and has also refused to speak with the leader of the National Assembly..
This is the first time Buhari will be meeting any of the leaders of the National Assembly since Dogara and the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, emerged, contrary to the choice of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress.
The President may also be meeting Saraki any moment from now.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed the scheduled meeting to journalists.
