Crisis Rocks APC Over House Of Reps Leadership, Yakubu Dogara & Jibrin Abdulmumin Walk Out Of ICC Meeting

Crisis rocks the meeting currently ongoing by the All Progressives Congress, APC, over the House Of Representatives Leadership, as  Yakubu Dogara and Jibrin Abdulmumin camp threatens to boycott the process.

In a bid to arrive at a flag bearer for the leadership of the Senate and the House of Representatives, the party is holding an internal election currently at the International Conference Center Abuja to pick a candidates for the positions.

Sources from the members-elect say the Bola Ahmed Tinubu faction is playing a fast one on the members as the favourite and handpicked candidate of the party leader, Femi Gbajiabiamila has emerged winner off the party ticket for the Speaker position.

The disagreement has led to a front runner, Yakubu Dogara, representing the Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa-Balewa constituency at the Federal House of Representatives and his group to stage a walk out along with twenty five others..

Another who had during the week stepped down for Dogara, Jibrin Abdulmumin also joined some members to walk out of the process which they’ve (their aides) have described as “Sham” and a replica of what has been obtained in the Lagos state politics since 1999.”

Dogara’s main challenger is minority leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, who is believed to be the favoured candidate of the APC hierarchy.

Honourable Yakubu Dogara from Bauchi State and Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila from Lagos State.
