“We Accept Responsibility For All That Has Gone Wrong In The Last 16years” – For The First Time, PDP Tick The Right Boxes

Nigeria’s ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and soon to be the nations Opposition party seems to be taking lessons from the aftermath of there 2015 elections and trying to correct the wrongs.

In an unusual manner of the party, the group now accepts responsibilities for all that went wrong in the past 16 years in Nigeria after a month of internal crisis following the defeat of President Goodluck Jonathan.

“We accept responsibility for all that has gone wrong & bad in the last 16years & we give you Nigerians the credit for successes recorded.” On it’s official account, the party Sunday wrote.

It continued, “Under president Jonathan’s tenure, gains and challenges were also recorded. We accept full responsibility.”

“Under president Yaradua’s tenure, militancy & other challenges were conquered. We take responsibility for everything that went wrong.”

“Under president Obasanjo’s 8years tenure, there were challenges & gains. We take full responsibility.”

The statement by the party continued, “We are ready to listen to you &hear what you think. We require genuine & sincere advice from you because a one party system not an option.
“We have tried our best as a political party but must be quick to point out that we were not perfect. We never claimed to be.

The statement followed,”We want to run a new PDP that welcomes criticism & see it as a necessity to make amends.”
