Shortly after the All Progressives Congress, Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari was widely reported to have won the Nigeria’s 2015 Presidential Elections, Wale Tinubu an associate of incumbent President Jonathan and another close ally of the current President, Femi Otedola were the first two ‘Oyel’ men to align with the regime change .

The two ‘Oil men’ visited General Buhari to congratulate him on his emergence, Wale Tinubu is the Group Chief Executive of Oando PLC, Africa’s leading indigenous energy solutions provider listed on the Nigerian and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges.

While Femi Otedola, is the controlling shareholder of Forte Oil, with a 78% stake. The company owns gas stations and fuel storage depots and manufactures its own line of engine oils. Nigerian energy mogul Femi Otedola has become at least $398 million richer between March 3 and June 2 as shares of Forte Oil PLC, a Nigerian Stock Exchange-listed energy distributor, surged 167% in that period.
