Pastor Adeboye Cuts His 73rd Birthday Cake Flanked By His Wife & Kids [READ GEJ & GMB’s Message]

by Deji Abiodun

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye turned 73 yesterday and his family threw him an intimate birthday party. Pictured above is the man of God with his family cutting his birthday cake.

President Goodluck Jonathan, in a congratulatory letter thanked Adeboye for his productive spiritual leadership which he provides for members of his church and Christians in Nigeria.

In a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the President thanked Adeboye for prayerfully supporting his administration.

The statement read: “It gives me great pleasure to felicitate with you on the occasion of your 73rd birthday.

“Our Administration and the Nigerian nation owe you a debt of gratitude for your prayerful support and the productive spiritual leadership you continue to provide, not just for the millions that constitute the membership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God across the world, but also for the entire body of Christ in Nigeria.

“On a personal level, I have left every meeting with you greatly strengthened and deeply inspired by your steadfast faith and commitment to the peace, stability, growth and development of our dear nation.

“I pray that Almighty God continues to imbue you with robust health and enduring fulfillment in the many more years of worthy service ahead of you.”
President Jonathan wished Pastor Adeboye very happy birthday celebrations.

For years, Adeboye has been associated with Jonathan. He even attended the wedding of Jonathan’s foster daughter Faith held earlier this year.
Sometime in February, the man of God updated his Facebook profile picture with that of Jonathan, the presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) kneeling before him for prayer while he changed his cover photo to his prayer session with stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by its Vice-Presidential candidate and a pastor of the church, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

On February 6, the president had attended the monthly Holy Ghost Service of the RCCG at the Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where he urged Nigerians to pray for a peaceful election.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Opposition Party Presidential Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari described Adeboye as a peace-loving citizen.

The statement released through the Directorate of Media and Publicity of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) contains:

“Your role as a nation-builder is being acknowledged by all, and I enjoin you to continue in your service to God and humanity.”
In the end of the statement the birthday man is wished a long life.
