World-Class Agent, Jorge Mendes Hints At Madrid Move For De Gea

Renowned football agent, Jorge Mendes has hinted at the possibility of his client, David De Gea moving to Real Madrid as the longtime replacement for fellow Spaniard, Iker Casillas. Rumors of the Manchester United goalkeeper joining the Spanish giants has been on for a while now and Mendes in a recent interview as quoted by Marca did little or nothing to quash the rumors.

When asked about the United goalkeeper and his chances of leaving Old Trafford for the Bernabeu, here’s what the renowned agent said:

“David is amazing, he’s brilliant” 

“He’s a Man United player and has a contract there. You have to respect that but things change every five minutes.”

Mendes is responsible for facilitating Ronaldo’s (another of his client) move from Old Trafford to the Bernabeu years back. Rumors have it that Mendes relationship with Manchester United has gone sour as one of the agent’s client, Radamel Falcao is struggling for game time at the club where he is currently on loan.

De Gea’s current deal with Manchester United expires in 2016 and speculations are still rife about the possibility of him being offered a new deak by the Manchester United board. The Red Devils have signed former Barcelona goalkeeper, Victor Valdes on a free transfer and this further gives credence to the De Gea exit rumors.
