Making Christmas Happen For Victims Of Boko Haram In The North-East

Published

It is already mid-December and the air is thick with the smell of Christmas. Holidays are being planned, fun events being looked forward to and families excited about the times they will spend together.

Sadly however, about 640,000 Nigerians are not privileged to look forward to this joyous celebration. This is because they have been made refugees in their own country, internally displaced by the deadly activities of the Boko Haram terrorist group. Many of them are in camps or are trying to pick up the pieces of their lives in places other than their hometowns.

To make this Christmas a little more exciting for them, the Caring Heart Foundation and Be A Blessing are seeking your support to bring relief for about a thousand internally displaced persons in Borno and Adamawa States.

With your donations, we intend to provide them with foodstuffs, clothing, shelter, toiletries and pay for school fees.

In addition, we are working with Maiduguri-born artiste, A-Maz on his music concert, “The A-Mizzy Concert” to raise awareness about the plight of IDPs in the North-East.

The concert which is also being supported by 360Nobs.com, Spoon Sensation, MIAbaga.com and Jaguda will be held on the 18th of December at the Spoons Sensations, Jos.

Attendance is free.

If you are in Jos, please come attend the concert and bring donations in cash and kind for those displaced by the Boko Haram crisis.
