Messi Chelsea Deal Is False – Mourinho

Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has denied rumors linking the Blues with a move for Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi. According to the very charismatic Chelsea manager, the media is to be blamed for the rumors.

The Argentine recently hinted that he might not end his career with the Spanish giants. Ever since then, rumors have been rife about his possible departure from Spain soon and many had hinted Chelsea was his next destination

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Mourinho said:

“My reaction is that the media world changed so much that the football world also changed so much.

“And I think, in this moment, it’s so easy, so easy to have non-truths circulating.

“It’s so easy that some people put news without confirming or speak about rumours. Obviously [the Messi deal] is not true. Obviously it’s not true.”

Messi recently became the all time highest goalscorer both in the La Liga and the Champions League.
