Nigerian Singer Wizkid Ayo Balogun Arrested In Nairobi, Kenya

Kenyan Newspaper, Standard Media is reporting that Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known by his stage name, Wizkid was arrested in his Nairobi Crown Plaza Hotel room on Saturday hours before his flight back to Lagos.

The arrest is said to be in connection with allegations that he was caught smoking illegal substances namely Marijuana inside the hotel in which smoking is prohibited.

Wizkid was taken to Capital Hill police station where he was quizzed.

According to the Newspaper, Kenyan Victoria Kimani of Chocolate City, followed him to the police station shortly after he had been arrested. Victoria had been with the singer at the hotel the previous day.
