Leader of the defunct Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force and political figure, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari has written a new article on his Facebook page.

In the article, he addresses recent allegations which have stared him in the face especially that of him supporting President Goodluck Jonathan for selfish reasons. Check it out below:

“Olabode Oladuja the Mujahid Dokubo-Asari you claim to admire had never existed or only existed in the fragment of your jaundice mind… it is very pathetic that you thought I was a lackey to your Yoruba thieving political elites….was my struggle about Nigeria?…certainly not….I am Ijaw fighting for the independence of the Ijaw nation from the strangle hold of the Gambaris, your foxy thieving Yoruba political elites, their conscious or unconscious collaborators….I have gone up to the Nigerian Supreme Court to state unequivocally that I,Mujahid Abubakr Dokubo-Asari,I am not a Nigerian and do not wish to become a Nigerian.
On this old sing song of juicy fruits…it has become so monotonous….that is another misconstruction of my struggle….My struggle is for Self determination and resource take-over by any means necessary….and that is what had inspired me into armed struggle.

I laugh when people say I support Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan for juicy fruits….did you people celebrate Awolowo because he gave your fathers juicy fruits?….You have the right to support an Awolowo or Abiola but I don’t have the same right to support a Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan….You should always create Yoruba Demi-gods,demagogues and heroes for me to adorn and celebrate….you fail.

My relationship with your elites was because I thought they had genuine concerns for the worst apartheid treatment of the people of the Niger Delta but how mistaken I was….they are just like the Gambaris but worst in their modus operandi…collaborate with the Gambaris but you will fail…just as you failed in Ilorin.”
