Buhari Visits Fashola To Deliver Invitation To His Official Declaration

General Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday visited Governor Tunde Fashola to deliver personally the invitation to his official launch of his 2015 presidential campaign. The Vanguard reports

Buhari who arrived the Lagos House, Marina in company of former Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, former Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Timipre Silva and former Minister of the Federal Capital territory, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai among others, said he decided to convey the invitation personally because Lagos is the biggest and most viable constituency of the APC adding that he would also do same to all the other governors in the Southwest.

He also said he will visit Oyo, Kwara and some other states before Wednesday, the day set for his declaration.

Fashola replied as simply as he could, “Let me say that we are pleased to receive you. We feel honoured by your presence and God will honour you and His grace will continuously be sufficient for you in the undertaking that you are about to commit to”.

Buhari’s attempt at getting Governor State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso step down for him failed and the race is now strictly a three horse battle between him, Kwankwaso and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
