I Have No Problem With APGA, I Joined PDP To Help Jonathan Win In 2015 – Peter Obi
by Oluwatosin Fatoyinbo
Former Governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi has explained the rationale for his defection to the People’sDemocratic Party (PDP) from the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Obi explained that he joined the PDP in order to play more active role in the emergence of President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 Presidential Elections. This, he said is the same reason why Ondo state Governor, Olusegun Mimiko left the Labour Party for PDP.
He said this during an interactive session with an Igbo group in Lagos State. Obi said there is no friction between him and the leadership of APGA promising to always give his support to Governor Willie Obiano.
“There is nothing wrong with APGA and my joining the PDP has nothing to do with APGA. I enjoy a cordial relationship with Chief Willie Obiano and the government is doing well. I will continue to support him in building a better Anambra State for the good of the children of the state.”
“The President is doing very well. He has a lot of policies in place that will transform the country if re-elected. We shall support him fully for the benefit of the country.” He said.
