Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, TAN, a campaign network supporting the re-election  of Nigeria’s Goodluck Jonathan has said that it is mobilizing about three million eligible voters in Anambra State for a rally aimed at promoting the President’s 2015 second term bid.

The proposed rally would be a follow -up to the South East zonal rally of TAN held in Awka a fortnight ago according to the Coordinator of the three million man rally, Chief Uzor Okafor, who is the Surveyor General of Namibia.

Namibia said at a sensitization programme organized by TAN for voters in Anambra Central senatorial zone that the reason behind the effort to return President Jonathan in next year’s election is to ensure continuity.

He said: “The Jonathan presidency has brought so much development in Nigeria and there is therefore the need for Nigerians to give him another mandate to continue his good works. Since he mounted the saddle, there is no part of the country that has not felt the positive impact of the government.

“Most Nigerians can also testify that the present administration has improved the economy of the country, improved the nation’s road and railway networks, improved agricultural production and developed infrastructure in education and other sectors as had never been done in the past.
“The president has also exhibited maturity in handling the affairs of the country and remaining focused even when distractions came, which puts him ahead of other people nursing presidential ambition.”

He observed that though the President was yet to declare his intention to contest in 2015, TAN believes that in the interest of equity, justice and strict adherence to the rule of law, he has the constitutional right to vie for a second term in office and expressed optimism that Nigerians would massively vote for him.
