Reports say there was commotion at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday when security operatives foiled an attempt to bomb a unit of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

TheCable  gathered that a private security guard arrested a physically challenged man found loitering around the CENTREX unit of NAMA in a suspicious manner; and after he was search, improvised explosive devices were found on him.

The suspect was immediately handed over to the airport police command for investigation. Mr. Yakubu Datti (pictured), general manager, corporate communications, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), confirmed the news but said there was no cause for alarm, as security agents were on top of the situation.
