Fifa has confirmed that the squad lists for this year’s World Cup have officially been documented and shirt numbers have also been confirmed for the 32 teams that qualified for this year’s event.

Participating nations had earlier submitted provisional lists of players they intend to take to the tourney and Nigeria, alongside other Nations, were able to beat the June 2 deadline set by the football ruling body.

The Super Eagles’ final 23 have now been allocated their jersey number that they would wear at the tournament that starts in less than a week’s time.

John Mikel Obi will retain his number 10 on his jersey as he looks to be the creative force in midfield for Nigeria as Vincent Enyeama will wear the number 1 jersey.

Shola Ameobi will wear the last squad number (23) while Joseph Yobo, who just returned to the team, will wear his usual number 2 on his shirt.

Reserve goalkeepers Austin Ejide and Chigozie Agbim will wear numbers 16 and 21 respectively with combative midfielder Ogenyi Onazi picking up number 17.

Nigeria will play their first match at the 2014 Fifa World Cup against Iran on June 16 at the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba.

Full squad and their shirt numbers:

Vincent Enyeama (1) Joseph Yobo (2) Uwa Echiejile (3) Ruben Gabriel (4) Efe Ambrose (5) Azubuike Egwuekwe (6) Ahmed Musa (7) Peter Odemwingie (8) Emmanuel Emenike (9) John Mikel Obi (10) Victor Moses (11) Ebenezer Odunlami (12) Juwon Oshaniwa (13) Godfrey Oboabona (14) Ramon Azeez (15) Austin Ejije (16) Ogenyi Onazi (17) Michael Babatunde (18) Uche Nwofor (19) Okechukwu Uchebo (20) Chigozie Agbim (21) Kenneth Omerou (22) Shola Ameobi (23).
