The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Adamu Mu’azu has urged the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore to bring about reconciliation among aggrieved members of the PDP in the statement.

Mu’azu made this call on Thursday just before he presented the  party’s certificate of return to Mr. Omisore in Abuja

Omisore was chosen as the party’s flagbearer in the election after he defeated two other aspirants at the party’s primary on the 5th of April.

“You must go and see all party members that had been hurt in one way or the other as a result of the primaries.

“Get them onboard, so that we will be able to get a smooth ride”,

The Chairman of the party stated that the task ahead was herculean as the state is currently being ruled by an opposition. He expressed confidence that Omisore will reclaim the state for the PDP after the August 9 election.

Mu’azu called on members of the party to support Omisore just as he promised the support and cooperation of the PDP leadership. He asked the PDP supporters to make sure their votes count after casting them.

Omisore stated that defeating APC in the state was a tough task but a possible one.

“The journey to remove APC indeed in Ekiti, Osun and the South West, is a journey that must be achieved and the task must be put behind us.

“I want to assure the national chairman that we are ready for the task and we are not unaware of the work involved, the scope of work and the tactics involved in getting APC off Osun state”.
