One Civilian, Seven Policemen Perish As Gunmen Attack Jigawa State

One civilian and seven policemen were killed on Wednesday after a bank, a sharia court and a police station in Gwaram local government area of Jigawa state was attacked by suspected terrorists.
The suspected terrorists and policemen on duty exchanged fire for hours during the attack. The attack was confirmed to pressmen in the state capital, Dutse by the Assistant Inspector General of Police of zone 1 Kano, Tambari Yabo.
He stated that about 200 gunmen suspected to be terrorists arrived in motorcycles and cars at about 1:00am
“It was unfortunate for this sad and unfortunate attack, we lost seven of our men and one civilian during the attack,” he said.
