Prison Break In Ekiti As Gunmen Invade Ado Detention, All Prisoners ‘Reportedly’ Freed

Reports say unknown gunmen in the wee hours of the morning today invaded Ado-Ekiti prisons along Afao road and freed all the inmates in the prison after killing one official. This is the first time such a security breach will be experienced in Ado-Ekiti prison.
No statement has however been issued at by the Prison service as to the number of casualties and those freed as at the time

There was a clear jailbreak attempt this morning at Ado-Ekiti Prisons along Afao Road with casualties recorded.

The prison is where Niyi Adedipe (Apase) and other alleged killers of PDP chieftain/NURTW ex-leader, Omolafe Aderiye are being held.

Niyi Adedipe is the former OPC leader and a well-known ally of former Governor Fayemi. When it got to a point, Gani Adams had to remove him.
