2015 Election: Attahiru Bafarawa Defects from APC to PDP

Former Governor of Sokoto state and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, Saturday agreed in principle to move to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), following a demand by his supporters to do so.
Similarly, the chairmen of the three legacy parties of ANPP, CPC and ACN, including their supporters in the 23 local government areas of the state also defected to the APC.
Speaking with THISDAY in Sokoto Saturday, the Media Aide to the former governor, Malam Yusuf Dingyadi, said the defection to APC was sequel to a stakeholders meeting held at the residence of Bafarawa by the three legacy parties of ANPP, ACN and CPC that merged to form APC in the state.
