Kano New Emir Announced Sunday, Kingmakers Submit Shortlisted Candidates [See 3 Names]

The Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso has said the state government will announce the new Emir Of Kano On Sunday.
Governor Kwankwaso made the revelation following a visit by Kano kingmakers who submitted the names of the three shortlisted candidate to the Governor after a thorough process.
The three kingmakers are Madakin Kano,  Sarkin Bai,  Sarkin Dawakin Mai’tuta, and Makaman Kano. Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso to pick Bayero’s successor.
Sources from the state say,  Sanusi Ado Bayero, Nasiru Ado Bayero and Aminu Ado Bayero are the names submitted to the state governor and Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria name was said not to have been considered.
Sanusi’s uncle, Sanusi Abbas, who holds the title of Wamban Kano and and the Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Tijjani Hashim are among those whose name sources say did not make the list.
Tomorrow the people of Kano State will know the Emir who will take over from the referred Bayero who became emir during the first republic, at a time when Nigeria was going through rapid social and political changes and regional, sub-regional and ethnic discord was increasing.
