Troops of “Operation Hadin Kai’’ (OPHK) apprehended at least 79 terrorists and their collaborators in the Northeast in the last two weeks.
Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Musa Danmadami, made the declaration in Abuja on Thursday at the bi-weekly news briefing on the operations of the armed forces.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has commenced investigation on a viral photo showing a female police orderly carrying the bag of Amina Titi Atiku Abubakar during an event.
Ttii is the wife of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the leading opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fresh details have emerged about the meeting between the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and select members of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees when the latter visited him in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
Acting BoT Chairman, Adolphus Wabara; former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Tanimu Turaki; ex-Kogi State Governor, Ibrahim Idris, and four others were in Port Harcourt earlier in the week in search of peace following a lingering crisis that showed no sign of abating.
However, there are indications that the BoT might advise the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, to resign as all entreaties made to Wike so far have fallen on deaf ears.

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has asked Kenyans for “forgiveness” after his son – a senior military officer – tweeted about invading their country.

Olori Kafayat Adedoyin Oyetunji, one of the wives of Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, the Ataoja of Osogbo land, has been dragged before an Osun State Customary Court sitting at Erin-Osun by her ex-husband, for allegedly switching the surname of their child.
The petitioner and former husband, Adekunle Lawal-Oloki asked the court to restrain the defendant from changing the girl’s name and grant him custodial rights over the child.
