Richard Adamu Tallen, the son of Nigeria’s former Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, is dead.
According to reports, Richard, the only son, of the minister, was admitted to the intensive care unit at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja on Friday evening for treatment of an undisclosed illness and was receiving oxygen support before his passing.
The deceased graduated from St. Joseph’s College Aka Collegium Sancti Joseph (CSJ) VOM, a premier Catholic missionary school offering comprehensive secondary education to boys in Plateau State.
Confirming the unfortunate development, Richard’s Set Coordinator announced in a Sunday post on Facebook tagged “Obituary” on the Vom Old Boys Association-VOBA page.
The post read, “On a very sad note, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen.
“He passed away on Saturday, October 5th, in Abuja after a brief illness, leaving behind a beloved family, including his wife & children.
“The family will announce burial arrangements.
“Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, may perpetual light shine upon him, and may the soul of Richard and all departed VOBA RIP. Amen.”
The deceased, a 42-year-old graduate of Computer Science from a U.S. university, is survived by his wife and three children.
